FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: present invention may be used in turbocharged internal combustion engines. Method for engine (10) consists in that, when both rotation frequency and load of engine (10) is below threshold value and in absence of increase in rotation frequency and/or load of engine (10) control valve (154) located between first adapter (150) and second adapter (152) for switching valve (154) to first position. Valve (154) in first position provides separation of exhaust gases coming from exhaust manifold (41). At that, the exhaust gases enter first channel (100) of the volute and second channel (100) of the volute of turbo-compressor (98) from the valve. First adapter (150) contains the first separator. Second adapter (152) contains the second separator. Valve (154) comprises third separator. When both rotation frequency and engine load are higher than threshold value, valve (154) is adjusted to switch valve (154) to second position. In the second position, valve (154) mixes exhaust gases from exhaust manifold (41). At increase of engine rotation frequency and/or load and when engine rpm and load is below threshold value valve (154) is adjusted to switch valve (154) to the third position. In third position valve (154) partially mixes exhaust gases from exhaust manifold (41). Variant of the method for the engine is disclosed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of flow restrictions under certain operating conditions of engine.
