SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines. Method of controlling engine (10) comprising a group of cylinders (18) for exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) comprises the following steps. Switching to operation mode intended for EGR, and output from it. At the same time regulation of inlet throttle valve (20) and bypass gate (80) for exhaust gases in opposite directions. Bypass damper is installed around bypass turbine (76). Exit from the operating mode intended for EGR includes discharge of exhaust gases from group of cylinders intended for EGR, to a place upstream of outlet turbine. Switching to operation mode intended for EGR includes recirculation of exhaust gases from group of cylinders intended for EGR, to engine inlet downstream of throttle valve. Inlet throttle valve and bypass flap control. At output from operation mode intended for EGR, before engine load reaches required load, increase in opening of inlet throttle valve beyond end position of throttle valve, which corresponds to required load. Then, the end position of the throttle valve is restored. Disclosed are engine system and engine control method (embodiments).
EFFECT: technical result consists in provision of smooth stroke and improvement of engine characteristics by reducing non-uniformity of torque during change of EGR mode from cylinder intended for EGR.
