SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of controlling temperature of ammoxidation reactor. Method includes supply of superheated steam to coils of overheating, located in ammoxidation reactor, measurement of temperature in ammoxidation reactor, control of flow rate and/or pressure of superheated steam in overheating coils to increase or decrease temperature in ammoxidation reactor, wherein the amount of superheated steam supplied to the overheating coils is controlled by a bypass valve, wherein the bypass valve is configured to provide a bypass of the superheated steam around the reactor.
EFFECT: invention provides efficient and accurate control of the ammoxidation reaction temperature while maintaining a constant desired propylene flow rate and a constant desired acrylonitrile release volume.
