SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurology. Essence of the invention consists in the erythrocyte magnesium level (mmol/l) and the level of matrix metalloproteinase I (ng/ml), wherein the examination is carried out twice a month, calculating the ratio of the level of matrix metalloproteinase I to the erythrocyte magnesium level, with increase or decrease of this ratio by 25 % and more, high risk of neurological complications in patients with blood diseases is detected, otherwise the risk of developing neurological complications in patients with blood diseases is insignificant.
EFFECT: invention can be used for assessing the risk of neurological complications in patients with blood diseases.
