FIELD: medicine; pediatrics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to pediatrics; it can be used for assessment of the risk of reduction in a health level in children of the first year of life. The method includes determination of levels of erythrocyte magnesium and matrix metal-proteinase IX in blood serum, study is carried out twice – right after child’s birth and 60 days after the birth. Then, the ratio of the level of matrix metal-proteinase IX to the level of erythrocyte magnesium is calculated, and with reduction in this ratio for at least 20%, a high risk of reduction in a health level in the first year of child’s life is detected, otherwise, the risk of reduction in a health level in the first year of child’s life is low.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows for provision of reliable detection of children with a high risk of development of reduction in a health level in the first year of child’s life.
