FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used in internal combustion engines. Embodiments of engine control methods and engine system are disclosed. One of the engine control method comprises the following steps. First charge control device is connected to first group of cylinders (17). Second charge control device is connected to second group of cylinders (18). Adjustment is performed to increase the charge level of the first and second groups of cylinders while reducing load on engine (10). Level of movement of the charge of the first group of cylinders is increased to the level of movement of the charge which is less than the level of charge movement of the said second group of cylinders.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of fuel efficiency and reduction of emissions of exhaust gases due to improved control of movement of charge for cylinders, intended and not intended for EGR, under different conditions of load on engine, wherein control of EGR degree is ensured by cylinders intended for EGR.
