FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines equipped with exhaust gas recirculation systems. Method for engine (10) consists in that during cold start position of first valve (54) located in main line (50) of EGR is controlled, depending on temperature of catalytic neutraliser (72). EGR main line (50) is installed between the first outlet header (80) connected to the first group of outlet valves (6), and intake channel (28) upstream from compressor (162). At that, part of exhaust gases is supplied through second group of outlet valves (8) to outlet channel (74) containing turbine (164) and catalytic neutraliser (72) located downstream of turbine (164). Embodiments of the method for an engine and system for an engine are disclosed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of emissions during cold start-up and in improvement of engine warm-up.
