FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining articles from various materials and can be used in processing articles from ceramics. Adaptive mechanical processing of ceramic articles is carried out on CNC machines, which includes installation of workpiece on machine tool, measurement of geometric parameters and base surfaces of the workpiece using the machine tools in the form of a measuring sensor and processing of the workpiece as per the control program. In process of processing, the speed of the support of the machine is adjusted depending on the readings of the measuring sensor of consumed power, which is located in the electric spindle of the machining unit of the machine tool. When output of power readings beyond the set value range, processing is interrupted with issuing an alarm signal. Operation of preparation of control program for machine is supplemented with procedure of automatic measurement of nominal power by means of electric spindle sensor on reference product for each frame of control program.
EFFECT: upgraded quality of ceramics items processing and reduced time spent on processing process control.
