PORT AND SURGICAL APPROACH UNIT Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B17/34

Abstract RU 2698034 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: port of surgical approach to provide a medical instrument for access to an abdominal cavity of a patient undergoing surgical intervention, comprises: a cannula, a first passage that passes along the cannula and along which a medical instrument is adapted to pass. Passage comprises a first inlet portion located in a proximal area of the cannula, as well as a first outlet portion located in the distal region of the cannula, a second passage, which passes along the cannula and along which the electrode is provided. Second passage comprises the second inlet section located in the proximal area of the cannula, as well as the second outlet section located in the distal area of the cannula. Second inlet portion of the second passage approaches the first passage in the direction from the proximal end to the distal end of the cannula. First output section of the first pass and the second outlet section of the second passage diverge along the cannula in direction from the proximal end to the distal end of the cannula. Surgical approach port unit for providing a medical instrument with access to an abdominal cavity of a patient undergoing surgical intervention comprises the above access port and an electrode for introduction into the second passage of the cannula with possibility of being removed from it.

EFFECT: inventions are aimed at preventing direct contact of a surgical instrument with an electrode, which can lead to short-circuiting through the patient's body, reduce indicators, and also introduces a risk of accidental non-harmful static discharge transmitted to the surgeon.
