FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to time advance (TA) in a cell with possibility of listening before transmission (LBT). To this end, a method of operating a radio access node in a cellular communication network comprises transmitting a TA indicator for an uplink LBT for a LBT cell to be used by a wireless device.
EFFECT: technical result consists in the possibility of controlling the time synchronization of the uplink LBT procedure such that at least part of the duration of the LBT falls within a period of time in which downlink transmission in the LBT cell does not interfere with the LBT procedure.
