FIELD: communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to communication engineering. Method includes: transmitting to a communication device a packet including a subframe; receiving from the communication device HARQ values associated with the subframe; and determining a contention window size with random delay of transmission based on the received HARQ values and also based on previously unused HARQ feedback signals. Device is configured to carry out the above-described method steps.
EFFECT: result is to adapt/resize the contention window with a random delay in the transmission for satisfactory interoperability between the LAA and WiFi channels, even when a large number of devices or apparatus compete for access to the channel.
