FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to immunology and veterinary medicine, and can be used to produce a polyvalent vaccine against anaerobic enterotoxemia of young cattle. For this purpose, the vaccine is made of Cl. perfringens cultures of types A – N28, C – N3 and D – N91, which were grown on meat-casein medium in a reactor at +37 °C for 4-16 hours depending on the time of toxicity formation of a specific strain. Obtained cultures containing highly active toxins with accumulation are used: Cl. perfringens type D not less than 2,000 DLM/cm3, type A of not less than 100 DLM/cm3 and type C of not less than 6,000 DLM/cm3 for white mice into which formalin with 37 % of formaldehyde content of culture liquid is added to culture reactor after culturing, preset pH 7.2. Inactivation was carried out at +37 °C for 7 days, obtained cultures are centrifuged, supernatant is used to produce antigen. To deposit the antigens in the culture liquid, 18 % of a three-percent sterile solution of aluminum hydroxide is added, thoroughly stirred and left at temperature of +20 °C for 2–5 days until complete clarification of the supernatant, and then decanted about 70 % of the supernatant fluid to obtain an inactivated vaccine. Group of inventions also relates to use of the obtained polyvalent vaccine against young cattle anaerobic enterotoxemia.
EFFECT: use of this group of inventions makes it possible to increase safety of young cattle, protecting against infectious anaerobic enterotoxemia of cattle.
