SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer equipment for user authentication. Technical result is achieved by receiving an authentication request for a transaction associated with a payment account, wherein the payment account is associated with the account identifier, authentication request includes a token associated with the payment account, and an account identifier, and transmitting said token and the account identifier in the DSS; wherein the DSS is configured to: generate a random directory server number (DSN) for said authentication request and transmit the DSN and account identifier for the directory server account; wherein the directory server is configured to: transmit the DSN and the account identifier to the access controller server (ACS) associated with the payment account issuer in response to the issuer authentication value (IAV), generate the account holder authentication value (AAV), wherein AAV includes IAV, DSN and transaction amount, and transmit AAV to server associated with entity involved in transaction.
