FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to studying the effect of surgical materials on the blood clot formation process. Disclosed is a method of studying the effect of surgical materials on the process of forming a blood clot in vitro, involving determining the time of coagulation of donor blood with surgical materials placed therein. Using donor blood citrate stabilized by donor blood, into which 0.1 ml of thromboplastin solution, 0.1 ml of 5 % calcium chloride solution is added in a separate test tube, blood is transferred into a coagulometer trough, and then introducing cylindrical surgical materials with radius of 0.5 cm and height of 0.2 cm, and then recording the blood coagulation by mechanical method in accordance with the coagulometer instruction, wherein also using a stopwatch, time is recorded from the moment of introduction into the sample of calcium and thromboplastin calcium solutions, before placement of surgical materials into the sample, which is subsequently summed up with instrument parameters, by change of value of which relative to control value conclusion is made on the effect of surgical materials on process of clot formation in vitro.

EFFECT: invention can be used in screening studies, provides technical simplicity, accuracy and objectivity of examination and enables to conduct tests in remote terms from the moment of blood sampling.
