FIELD: electrician; vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the vehicles electrical traction systems. Device for attenuation of magnetic field of traction motor of AC electric locomotive consists of series-connected diode and IGBT-transistor, protective diode connected to positive power bus of motor, driver of IGBT-transistor, current sensor arranged in traction motor armature winding circuit, voltage sensor included in power transformer auxiliary winding. Driver input is connected to field bypass control system, and output is connected to IGBT-transistor. Series-connected diode and the IGBT-transistor are connected in parallel to the excitation winding, and the second diode is connected to the armature winding of the traction motor. Control system generates control pulses of IGBT-transistor by criterion of maximum power factor of electric locomotive.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of power factor of electric locomotive, reduction of coefficient of current sinusoidal distortion and reduction of electric energy consumption.
