FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to passive scanning systems for vision of optical, infrared and millimeter ranges of wavelengths intended for observation of moving objects. System consists of several receivers, mutually remote and oriented in space. Scanning is carried out by changing the angular position of the line of sight of the receiver in time according to a certain rule. Based on the scanning results, direction vectors are formed on the object in coordinate systems of the receivers and time points of their formation are recorded. Proposed method allows determining in each scanning period vectors of spatial coordinates of object position, speed and acceleration of its movement. For this purpose, matrix of system of equations is composed of coordinates of vectors and differences of moments of their formation and its solution is solved by matrix method.

EFFECT: determining the spatial position, speed and acceleration of the object in the passive scanning vision system.
