FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to passive systems of spatial vision of optical, infrared and radio wavelength ranges, intended for observation of objects, and can be used in existing passive surveillance systems for objects. In the method of finding spatial coordinates of objects in passive systems of vision, the location of the first and k-th receivers is mutually oriented by an axis rotation matrix and a base vector of the k-th receiver with respect to the first, unit vectors of vectors of directions on objects in the first receiver and unit vectors of vectors of directions on objects in k-th receiver are determined, successively selecting m non-recurring versions of connection of pairs of unit vectors with the least values of coupling parameters of vectors and distances to objects, calculated by criterion of minimum of these parameters. Number of n receivers is selected equal to 3 or 4, receivers are located on circle or sphere with orthogonal arrangement of lines of sight of k-th receivers relative to first receiver, then by searching for mn variants of connection of unit vectors estimating distances to objects is calculated by criterion of minimum value of conjugation of vectors, then, m non-recurring variants of connection of unit vectors with the least total vector conjugation indices are successively selected based on amplitudes of the received signals and spatial coordinates of objects in the coordinate system of the first receiver are calculated for selected versions.
EFFECT: reduced errors of estimating distances to objects and their spatial coordinates, as well as high probability of correct distribution of guide vectors by belonging to objects owing to use of additional information on amplitudes of signals from objects.
