SUBSTANCE: invention relates to timber rafting, particularly to flat rafting units. Flat rafting unit contains one or more transverse rows of round timber covered along sides with a limiting net. Network includes horizontal flexible links and consists of two sections. Each section has upper and lower rigid links. Rigid links are provided with lugs at the ends and are placed on rows of round timber with reference to their ends at distance of 0.5 m. Upper and lower rigid links of both sections are connected to each other through lugs by horizontal flexible links. Upper and lower rigid links of each section are connected to each other through lugs by vertical flexible links.
EFFECT: increased rigidity and simplified design of flat rafting unit.
