FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing of highly effective polyphenylene sulfides used as super-structural polymeric materials. Method of producing polyphenylenesulphides involves polycondensation of nine-lead sodium sulphide and para-chlorobenzene at temperature of 225 °C, 250 °C and 275 °C with duration of three hours under high pressure in presence of catalyst and organic solvent. Catalyst used is different alkali metal salts – sodium carbonate, lithium carbonate, lithium oxalate, lithium acetate or mixtures thereof at ratio of 1:1. Organic solvent used is N-methylpyrrolidone.
EFFECT: invention increases molecular weight of the polymer.
