FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of high-efficiency polyphenylene sulphide used as super-structural polymer material. Method of producing polyphenylenesulphide involves adding nine-aqueous sodium sulphide, para-chlorobenzene to the reaction medium and conducting a polycondensation reaction in a high-boiling organic solvent in the presence of a catalyst. Process is carried out at temperature of 225 °C, 250 °C and 275 °C with duration of three hours and pressure of 15 bar. Further, bisphenol is added to increase polymer molecular weight. Solvent used is N-methylpyrrolidone. Catalyst used is different salts of alkali metals – sodium carbonate, lithium carbonate, lithium acetate, lithium oxalate or mixture thereof at ratio of 1:1.
EFFECT: invention increases molecular weight of the polymer.
