FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to medical rehabilitation, therapeutic exercises, balneology, cardiology, prevention of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and can be used in rehabilitation centers, fitness centers, sanatoriums and outpatient clinics. Method of human recovery in the presence of CVD risk factors involves the effect of a complex of physiotherapeutic procedures, one of which is the taking of carbonic baths. Another procedure of the complex is aquatherapy, which is carried out in the form of water aerobic training of medium intensity, depth of immersion – at the level of a human breast. Water temperature 28–29 °C. Classes are 3 times a week, total – 10 sessions for 45 minutes. Occupation in water includes warm-up – 5 minutes, main part – 35 minutes, cool down exercises – 5 minutes. Warm-up consists of exercises for warm-up of body muscles in the form of free swimming with arbitrary style, walking, jumps and running in place with gradually increasing rate and amplitude of motions. Main part includes aerobic exercises in the form of walking in water, running and jumping combined with movements of upper and lower extremities in all possible for the patient planes and directions performed based on basic movements of aerobics. At continuous performance of exercises patient constantly maintains such rate and amplitude of performed movements, which allow to keep intensity of load at level of 50–70 % of maximum heart rate. Final period (cool down exercises) includes exercises for coordination of movements, stretching of muscles, free swimming with arbitrary style and exercises for recovery of calm breathing. After each session with aquatherapy, the procedure for taking carbon dioxide baths, artificially prepared with carbon dioxide concentration of 1.2–1.4 g/l, temperature of 30–32 °C, duration of each procedure 12 minutes, total – 10 procedures.
EFFECT: method provides organism recovery in the form of effective reduction of CVD risk factors or manifestations of initial CVS diseases in patients of various age groups (reduced dyslipidemia, decreased body weight index, improvement of exercise tolerance with allowance for heart rate and blood pressure, increase of maximum oxygen consumption and physical activity), individualization of load directly in process of universal cardiovascular training in water, increased compliance – adherence of patients to healthy lifestyle and methods of CVD prevention.
