CARDIO TRAINING METHOD USING WATER AEROBIC TRAINING IN PATIENTS WITH RISK FACTORS OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B6/00

Abstract RU 2703356 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely: to medical rehabilitation, physiotherapy, cardiology, cardiovascular diseases prevention (CVD), and can be used in rehabilitation centers, sanatoriums, out-patient, independently by patients when visiting swimming pools or on vacation when visiting open water bodies, in fitness centers. That is ensured by a method of cardio training using aqua-aerobics in patients with CVD risk factors. Cardio-aqua training involves conducting the sessions individually or in groups of up to 10 people in the form of a complex of aerobic exercises in water at temperature of 28–29 °C. Water level is to the middle of the patient's thorax. Course – 16 lessons, 2 times a week. Lesson includes warm-up for 5 minutes, the main part for 30 minutes, cool down exercises for 5 minutes. Each of three parts of the lesson involves sequential execution of the exercises given in the claim, where main part includes 30 consecutive exercises from initial position standing on pool bottom with duration of each exercise 1 min. Rate of execution and amplitude of movements of the main part of each patient selects individually during each session, maintaining their state according to the green level of the Borg scale – 12–14 points, which correspond to the level of subjective load from "medium" to "in principle difficult".

EFFECT: method provides effective reduction of CVD risk factors or initial manifestations of CVD disorders in patients of different age groups – reduced dyslipidemia, decreased BWI, increased level of physical activity, increased exercise tolerance with allowance for heart rate and blood pressure values, increased value of maximum oxygen consumption, individualization of load directly during universal cardio training in water, increased adherence of patients to a healthy lifestyle and methods of CVD prevention.
