FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sorbents for removal of atherogenic lipoproteins and C-reactive protein from blood plasma. Sorbent contains a polymer matrix, to which a ligand is covalently attached through a molecular spacer. To bond the molecular spacer, the matrix is activated to obtain aldehyde groups followed by coupling diaminoethane to obtain a Schiff base, which is then reduced with sodium borohydride. Ligand used is benzaldehyde, which is bonded to primary amine groups on a matrix prepared by attaching diaminoethane owing to an aldehyde group. Schiff base is reduced using sodium borohydride.
EFFECT: obtaining a sorbent which effectively removes atherogenic lipoproteids and C-reactive protein from blood plasma; obtained sorbent can be sterilized by autoclaving without loss of sorption characteristics.
