FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to physical rehabilitation (PR), and can be used in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) following a radiofrequency ablation surgery of pulmonary vein mouths (RFA PV). For this purpose, the PR program is started on the following postoperative day. It is carried out at the first stage of cardiac rehabilitation (CR) and II outpatient stage in the polyclinic, with transition to occupations at home. PR program consists of three periods. Preparation course includes 3 sessions at the first stage of the CR before discharge from the hospital, up to 25 sessions at the early II outpatient stage of the CR in the conditions of a polyclinic rehabilitation department. Main one, including up to 40 sessions, is performed at the II outpatient stage of the CR in the home environment. Maintenance period in the late stage II outpatient stage is not limited in time. During the preparatory period of the stationary stage, the patients perform exercises in the prone position on a flat solid surface on the abdomen, back or right side. At other stages – sitting or in vertical position. Set of exercises and number of their repetitions as a part of the therapeutic complex performed at the outpatient preparatory stage are varied taking into account individual patient's energy expenditures and clinical state. At all stages of exercise therapy, patients perform eye exercises, respiratory exercises with deep diaphragmatic breathing. During the main and supporting PR periods, the patients perform the exercises taking into account their energy costs for stretching at the gymnastic wall, step-training, exercises with burdening, dosed walking. PR efficiency is controlled by repeated VEM-test, questionnaire QPA-23+, hospital scale of anxiety and depression HADS, questionnaire of quality of life in 1 month, 3 months and 6 months after operation of RFA PV.
EFFECT: method enables the personalized physical rehabilitation of the patients with AF at the early stages of the RFA PV surgery is effective and safe due to the developed rehabilitation program which is selected taking into account the patient's functional class and is dosaged according to its individual energy costs.
