FIELD: smoking accessories.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a smoking article comprising a tobacco rod and a filter. Smoking article comprises a tobacco rod and a filtering component, wherein filtering component comprises filtration segment of filtering material, having diameter, measured perpendicular to longitudinal direction of filter; and a flow restrictor enclosed in the filter segment; wherein at least one cross-sectional dimension of the flow limiter, measured in the transverse direction of the filter segment, is at least about 50 percent of the diameter of the filter segment; wherein flow restrictor is made of air-impermeable, incompressible and water-soluble or degradable in water material, and wherein the flow limiter contains a composition which promotes decomposition of the filter material, wherein the flow limiter comprises a granule, wherein the composition which promotes decomposition of the filter material at least partially covers the granule.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the creation of a smoking article with a filter, in which the decomposition of the filter material is made more efficient, wherein, at the same time, satisfactory values and controllability of RTD, air flow, CO levels are provided, and which would be relatively simple and inexpensive in production.
