FIELD: paint industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a multilayer paint system on a metal base by producing a base coat or several directly applied base coatings on a metal base coated with a hardened system of an electrodeposited coating, obtaining a coating varnish directly on one or on the uppermost of several base coatings, and then combined curing of one or more base coatings and coating varnish, where at least one base coating material which is used to prepare base coatings contains at least one aqueous dispersion (aD) which contains a polymer, the preparation of which involves sequential radical emulsion polymerization of three mixtures (A), (B), and (C) olefinically unsaturated monomers.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing a multilayer paint system.
