FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a multilayer paint system on a metal base, as well as to a multilayer ink system. Method comprises (1) producing hardened electrodeposited metal-based coating, (2) obtaining a base coat film or two or more directly applied base coating films directly on the hardened electrodeposited coating, (3) obtaining a coating lacquer film directly on the base coat film or on the uppermost film of the base coat and (4) co-curing the base coat film and the lacquer film or the base coat films and the lacquer film. Base coating material or at least one of the base coating materials contains at least one aqueous polyurethane-polyurea dispersion containing polyurethane and polyurea particles. Said polyurethane and polyurea particles reacted contains a polyurethane prepolymer comprising isocyanate groups and containing anionic groups and/or groups which can be converted to anionic groups, as well as at least one polyamine containing two primary and one or two secondary amino groups. Average particle size is 40–2,000 nm and the content of the gel fraction is at least 50 %. Said dispersion consists of at least 90 wt% polyurethane and polyurea particles, as well as water.

EFFECT: disclosed method simplifies the technology of producing multilayer paint systems, and the obtained multilayer paint systems exhibit excellent pore resistance, as well as good adhesion and appearance.
