FIELD: hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions for oral care. Disclosed composition contains: a. basic amino acid in a free or salt form, where the basic amino acid is selected from arginine, lysine and a combination thereof; b. combination of sources of zinc ions and c. thickening system comprising: i. from 0.1 wt. % to 0.4 wt. % of hydroxyethyl cellulose by weight of composition for oral cavity care and ii. from 0.3 wt. % to 0.9 wt. % of xanthan gum by weight of the oral care composition, where hydroxyethyl cellulose is characterized by viscosity measured at 2 % in water at 25 °C of 4500 to 6500 cP.
EFFECT: combination of components of thickening system provides optimum rheological properties of both preliminary mixtures in the form of gel, and final products - tooth-pastes.
