SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an oral care composition. Disclosed is an oral care composition containing, in terms of total weight of the oral care composition: a) 1.5 wt. % arginine; b) zinc oxide and zinc citrate, where zinc citrate is present in amount of 0.5 wt. % and zinc oxide is present in amount of 1.0 wt. %; and c) 2 wt. % tetrasodium pyrophosphate; d) a thickening system containing 0.4 wt. % xanthane gum, 1.0 wt. % sodium carboxymethylcellulose and 6 wt. % silicon dioxide.
EFFECT: formulation of the composition provides the desired high viscosity of the oral care composition which has acceptable stability over time.
