SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a composition for the care of the oral cavity containing zingerone and to a method for its use. The present composition for the care of the oral cavity contains: 0.1-0.3% by weight based on the total weight of the zingeron composition; approximately 1% by weight based on the total weight of the zinc oxide composition; approximately 0.5% by weight based on the total weight of the zinc citrate composition and 0.4-0.5% by weight based on the total weight of the stannous fluoride composition. Disclosed is a method for cleaning teeth and the oral cavity which presupposes the use of an effective amount of the above composition to take care of the oral cavity of an individual in need thereof.
EFFECT: invention enhances the anti-inflammatory properties of the oral care composition while maintaining its antibacterial activity due to the inclusion of zingerone in the composition.
