FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to obstetrics and gynecology, and can be used for assessing the risk of preterm delivery in women with habitual miscarriage. In the gestation period of 8–10 weeks, the level of interleukin 1 (IL 1), interleukin 6 (IL 6), an inflammation marker – ligand of tumor necrosis factor causing apoptosis (TRAIL) is determined in the peripheral blood serum. These data are then added to the equation for calculating the risk of preterm delivery: p (preterm delivery)=1/1+eZ, where p (preterm delivery) is the risk of preterm delivery, e is the base of natural logarithms (Euler number=2.718). Value z is calculated by formula: z=1.207*P1+0.723* P2-1.823*P3+5.361, where 1.207, 0.723 and -1.823 – values of coefficients for IL 1, IL 6 and TRAIL. 5.361 is a constant of the equation. P1, P2 and P3 are values of IL 1, IL 6 and TRAIL blood serum levels. If the value of p (preterm delivery) is more than 0.470, the risk of preterm delivery is considered to be high. If less than 0.470, the risk of preterm delivery is considered to be low.

EFFECT: method provides higher reliability of prediction of preterm delivery ensured by using a model including data on blood concentration of patient IL 1, IL 6 and TRAIL, which are determining in development of preterm delivery, and use of binary logistic regression for calculation of individual risk.
