FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to vascular surgery. Canal is inserted into the lumen of the vessel, placing its open end in front of the atherosclerotic plaque. Structures around the open end of the channel are mechanically expanded expansive sleeve and extruded cartridge edge before vessel adventitia. Thereafter, gradually moving open channel end with opened sleeve by the vessel, the plaque is mechanically detached from the adventitia and displace along sleeve inner surface to channel center. Working member is milled by detached mass and discharged through the channel cavity. Method is realized by means of a device which contains a hollow channel, at the open end of which there is a rotatable working member with a cutting outer edge and an apparatus for expanding and pushing the walls of the vessel, wherein behind the working member in the channel there is an agent for removing the plaque body.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows maximum complete removal of atherosclerotic plaques from the lumen of the vessel by endovascular technique, which enables to reduce intraoperative injuries.
