FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to crystalline forms of 4-methyl-2- [4- (2-methylpropoxy) -3-(1H-1,2,3,4-tetrazol-1-yl)phenyl]-1,3-thiazol-5-carboxylic acid and sodium 4-methyl-2-[4-(2-methylpropoxy)-3-(1H-1,2,3,4-tetrazol-1-yl)phenyl]-1,3-thiazole-5-carboxylate. Crystalline forms of the invention are characterized by at least one of the features (i) - (vii): (i) characteristic peaks at diffraction angles 2θ (±0.5°) in powder X-ray diffraction pattern; (ii) a powder X-ray diffractogram having the form shown in the figures; (iii) characteristic peaks at values of chemical shifts (±0.5 ppm) in solid-state spectrum 13C-NMR; (iv) solid-state spectrum 13C-NMR, having a view, shown in figures; (v) characteristic peaks at wavenumbers (±5 cm-1) in infrared absorption spectrum (KBr method); (vi) an absorption infrared spectrum (KBr method) having the shape shown in the figures; or (vii) an exothermic peak in thermogravimetric/differential thermal analysis. Invention also relates to methods of producing crystalline forms of 4-methyl-2-[4-(2-methylpropoxy)-3-(1H-1,2,3,4-tetrazol-1-yl)phenyl]-1,3-thiazole-5-carboxylic acid.

EFFECT: compounds are intended for use as a therapeutic or preventive agent for diseases associated with xanthine oxidase.
