METHOD OF DETECTING CONTRIBUTION OF INTERFERING COMPONENT IN BIOSENSOR Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01N27/327

Abstract RU 2702132 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method of detecting the contribution of an interfering component in a biosensor, which comprises a first electrode, a second electrode and a third electrode, wherein the first electrode and the second electrode are coated with a membrane, the first electrode comprising an enzyme or coated with an enzyme layer. Besides, first electrode, second electrode and third electrode are connected by means of potentiostat, wherein in the normal operating mode between the first electrode and the second electrode by means of a potentiostat a difference of electric potentials is applied so that on the first electrode there provided are conditions for oxidation processes, and on the third electrode conditions for the proceeding of the reducing processes are provided. Method comprises following steps: a) switching from normal operating mode to detection mode of interfering component, in which difference of electric potentials between first electrode and second electrode varies for a limited period of time so that conditions on the third electrode for oxidizing processes are provided; b) measuring the current-voltage characteristic of the third electrode; c) determining the contribution of the interfering component in the biosensor by estimating the current-voltage characteristic of the third electrode. Method makes it possible to unambiguously exclude from consideration the fact of presence and, preferably, the amount of the interfering component and is generally applicable in case of presence of components of more than one type. No additional working electrodes or auxiliary circuit components are required.

EFFECT: method can be realized in the electronic structure of standard biosensors and can therefore be used in existing biosensor systems.
