SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medical testing, in particular, to the determination of analyte concentration in a sample. Method for determining analyte concentration in a sample includes: provision of a sample with an analyte into an electrochemical cell; determination of the first analyte concentration; determination of the measuring result of a parameter correlating with the physical property of electrochemical cell; correction factor calculation and determination of the analyte concentration taking into account the correction factor. Electrochemical cell has a first and a second electrodes, while on the second electrode there is no coating from the reagent layer. In this case, determination of electrochemical cell capacity contains: application of the first test potential E1 between first and second electrodes, application of the second test potential E2 between first and second electrodes and processing a portion of the test currents by summation currents. Variant of the method for determining analyte concentration in sample and variants of the electrochemical system are also disclosed.
EFFECT: group of inventions ensures the preservation of the accuracy of analyte concentration determination during electrochemical system storage.
