SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an inertial retainer assembly for an armrest, an armrest assembly, a seat assembly and embodiments of a vehicle comprising said assemblies. Unit of inertial retainer contains: fixing element, guide pin, located on armrest attachment arm and locking pin. Fixing element includes arched guide groove. Guide pin is made with the possibility of sliding within the arc-shaped guide groove to limit the range of rotary motion of the fixing element. Locking pin is made with possibility of engagement with fixing element and is located on link of armrest, pivotally connected at one end to bracket for attachment of armrest, and on opposite end to part of armrest housing. Fixing element is made with possibility of free rotation for engagement with locking pin during vehicle deceleration. Armrest assembly comprises an armrest including: a body, a seat attachment bracket and a link pivoted to the attachment bracket at one end, and at the opposite end to the body. Seat assembly comprises a seat including a seat frame, a seat base and a seat back defining a recess for accommodating the rotary armrest when in the retracted state.

EFFECT: providing a mechanism preventing inadvertent unfolding of the centre armrest of the seat during vehicle deceleration.
