FIELD: microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microbiology. Disclosed is a method for inactivation of drug-sensitive and drug-resistant strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in experimental conditions in vitro by means of photodynamic action. Photosensitization of the suspension of Mycobacterium tuberculosis of the analyzed strain is carried out with a photosensitizing preparation belonging to the phthalocyanine class in the final concentration of the photosensitizer in the mycobacterial suspension of 5 mcg/ml for the Photosense preparation followed by irradiation with a wavelength of light radiation equal to or close to the photosensitizer absorption peak in the red range, with output power equal to or greater than 100 mW, and energy density of the light dose equal to or greater than 46.9 J/cm2.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is achieving braking and complete cessation of tuberculosis mycobacterial tuberculosis growth due to induced phototoxic mechanisms of cellular structures damage; method is inexpensive, simple, reliable and effective.
