METHOD OF CREATING SKYRMIONS AND THEIR ARRAYS IN A MAGNETIC MEDIUM USING A SCANNING MICROSCOPE PROBE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC H01L21/18 B82Y30/00

Abstract RU 2702810 C1

FIELD: electronic equipment; nanotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronics and nanoelectronics, namely to a method of creating skyrmions and their arrays in magnetic nano- and microstructures, as well as films with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction and perpendicular magnetic anisotropy by means of a magnetic probe of an atomic power microscope with a certain scanning pitch. Method of creating skyrmions and their arrays in a magnetic medium using a magnetic probe of an atomic power microscope, involving formation of a medium with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction and perpendicular anisotropy, measuring a magnetic hysteresis loop, determining critical fields of nucleation of the domain structure, determining constants of effective magnetic anisotropy and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction, preparing a magnetic sample (medium) and a magnetic probe, preliminary scanning of sample with magnetic probe, modification of magnetic structure with probe and creation of skyrmions or skyrmion arrays.

EFFECT: invention enables creation of separate skyrmions, as well as arrays of arbitrary skyrmions in magnetic micro- and nanostructures, as well as films.
