FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to road construction and can be used for stabilization of soils when making bases of roads and railways. Method of producing stabilized road base in form of monolithic layer includes the following stages: removal of vegetative soil; application of crushed stone screening layer of fraction 0–5 mm of steel-smelting slag of converter production to compacted soil base with thickness of 40–60 % of thickness of stabilized road base, with subsequent profiling and compaction of applied layer of specified screening of crushed stone; obtaining a slag-soil layer by mixing crushed stone screening of fraction 0–5 mm of steel-smelting slag of converter production and soil to depth of 20–50 cm with simultaneous or further dampening of the slag-soil layer to moisture content of 15–30%; successive distribution of modifier ACROPOL of fuel and Portland cement on layer of slag-soil, with consumption of modifier of 1.5–2.5 kg/m3, Portland cement – 40–120 kg/m3; obtaining a layer of stabilized road bed by mixing distributed components with slag-soil, with subsequent production of compacted road base by compaction of said mixed layer and subsequent passage of compacted road base for 3 days. Also described is a stabilized road base obtained using said method.
EFFECT: high mechanical strength, frost resistance and plasticity of the road foundation.
