FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, for X-ray therapy of intracavitary cancers in animals and humans, can be used directly in the process of removing the main part of a cancerous tumor. Effective sterilization of the living cancer cells remaining in the patient's body is achieved by irradiating them with an intense and short-term flow of soft X-ray radiation from a miniature X-ray emitter with an anode of an X-ray tube of high power, which is intensely cooled by gaseous heat carrier coming from outer part of open cooling system and prevents heating of remote anode of X-ray tube to temperatures capable to cause thermal burn of patient's live tissues.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of using the X-ray emitter and increasing its efficiency when conducting intracavitary therapeutic exposure.
