FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to introducers for providing access to vessels, when for endovascular procedures a catheter is introduced into the vascular system, through which implants or procedural tools are introduced into the vascular system. Introducer of the catheter into the vascular system comprises a connecting valve and an inlet tube having a proximal portion and a distal portion. Distal portion has a smaller diameter compared to the proximal portion. Inlet pipe for reversible change of its diameter has longitudinally extending stretching elements with notches as places of supposed destruction.
EFFECT: introducer can be adapted to a large-calibre catheter, but after removal of the catheter is again reduced to the original diameter, which will remove the introducer when the procedure is completed without large costs with a small risk of additional vascular injuries.
