FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to vaccination prevention, and can be used to predict postvaccinal local reactions in children with pertussis vaccines. For this purpose, pre-vaccination with pertussis vaccines requires determining the age, the number of preceding vaccinations with pertussis vaccines, the history of allergic pathology and the presence of myalgic syndrome for previous vaccinations. Obtained values are added to the formula of calculating a linear discriminant function – LDF1 (no risk of developing local reactions) and LDF2 (risk of developing local reactions) by formulas: LDF1=-10.4-0.8*X1+11.9*X2+7.1*X3+0.03*X4; LDF2=-19.9+0.12*X1+16.5*X2+5.0*X3-0.11*X4, where X1 is the age of grafted, months; X2 – allergopathology, wherein X2=1 in the presence of allergopathology in past history and X2=0 in the absence of allergopathology in past history; X3 is a counting vaccine, wherein X3=0 with 1–3 vaccinations against pertussis and X3=1 when performing revaccination (4 vaccination); X4 is myalgic syndrome, wherein X4=1 in the presence of myalgic syndrome for previous vaccination and X4=0 with no myalgic syndrome for previous vaccinations. If the LDF1>LDF2 value is predicting the absence of a local reaction, the LDF2>LDF1 value shows a high risk of a strong local reaction.
EFFECT: invention provides more accurate prediction of postvaccinal local reactions in children with pertussis vaccines.
