FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a propylene heterophasic copolymer (HECO) and a polyolefin composition thereof, used to produce articles for the automotive industry. Propylene heterophasic copolymer contains from 62 to 72 wt% propylene homopolymer (HPP) at melt flow rate MFR2 (230 °C) in range from 110 to 200 g/10 min and from 28 to 38 wt% elastomeric copolymer of propylene-ethylene. Propylene heterophasic copolymer has a melt flow rate MFR2 (230 °C) from 20 to 35 g/10 min, and also contains in amount of 28 to 38 wt% fraction, soluble in cold xylene (XCS), which has characteristic viscosity (IV) in range of 2.5 to 3.5 dl/g and ethylene content (EC) of 15 up to 35 wt%.

EFFECT: propylene heterophasic copolymer according to the invention has good fluidity in combination with excellent stiffness/strength balance and excellent relative elongation at rupture.
