FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polypropylene composition (C), a heterophase propylene copolymer (HECO2), a moulded article and use of a polypropylene composition (C) or a heterophase propylene copolymer (HECO2). Polypropylene composition (C) contains: (i) from 62 to 85 wt. % with respect to the total weight of the polypropylene composition (C) of the heterophase propylene copolymer (HECO1) with a melt flow index MFR2 (230 °C), measured according to ISO 1133, in range of 6.0 to 50.0 g/10 min, (ii) from 10 to 30 wt. % with respect to the total weight of the polypropylene composition (C) of the heterophase propylene copolymer (HECO2) with melt flow index MFR2 (230 °C), measured according to ISO 1133, in range of 0.1 to 5.5 g/10 min, (iii) from 5 to 30 wt. % with respect to the total weight of the polypropylene composition (C) of the inorganic filler (F). Soluble in cold xylene (XCS) fraction of the heterophase propylene copolymer (HECO1) contains less (in mol. %) comonomer links derived from C2 than the heterophasic propylene copolymer (HECO2) fraction soluble in cold xylene (XCS). Fraction of heterophasic propylene copolymer (HECO1), which is soluble in cold xylene (XCS), has lower characteristic viscosity (IV) than the fraction of heterophase propylene copolymer (HECO2), which is soluble in cold xylene (XCS). Heterophasic propylene copolymer (HECO1) contains (semi-crystalline polypropylene matrix (PM1) and elastomeric propylene copolymer rubber (EPR1) dispersed in said (semi) crystalline polypropylene matrix (PM1), where elastomeric propylene copolymer rubber (EPR1) contains only propylene and links obtained from ethylene. Heterophasic propylene copolymer (HECO2) fraction which is soluble in cold xylene (XCS) has intrinsic viscosity (IV) in range of 8.0 to 11.0 dl/g and contains comonomer links obtained from C2 in an amount ranging from 62 to 75 mol. %. Heterophasic propylene copolymer (HECO2) contains (semi-crystalline polypropylene matrix (PM2) and elastomeric propylene copolymer rubber (EPR2) dispersed in said (semi) crystalline polypropylene matrix (PM2), where elastomeric propylene copolymer rubber (EPR2) contains only propylene and links obtained from ethylene. Moulded article is obtained from polypropylene composition (C). Polypropylene composition (C) or heterophase propylene copolymer (HECO2) is used to increase adhesion of the paint coat to the moulded article.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain moulded articles having high rigidity, high impact characteristics and high adhesion of the paint coat, without the need to apply adhesion promoters, such as primers.
