FIELD: water and air purification technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system and a method for controlling air filters of an air filter structure in an inlet for airflow into an industrial plant. Air filter control system, in which each air filter device comprises a set of sensors with possibility of collecting data representing operating condition of air filters structure, microprocessor with possibility of determining information on operating condition for structure of air filters based on collected data, and communication unit with possibility of transmitting information on operating condition, communication unit with possibility of receiving information on operating condition from multiple devices of air filters; user interface for selection of air filters structure; and a processing circuit configured to estimate the expected service life of the selected structure of the air filters, wherein the estimated expected service life is based on the operating status information received from the air filter device provided in the selected air filter structure, and operating state information received from one or more other air filter devices provided in other air filter structures.

EFFECT: improved control of air filters and provision of accurate estimation of operational data for structure of air filters.
