FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and is intended for examination of blood microcirculation in the optic disc area, peripapillary and macular area of retina. OCT-angiography is performed on Spectralis OCT2 optical coherence tomograph with OCT-angiography module (Heidelberg Engineering, Germany). Group of five A-scans of the sagittal section is selected in the examined area. Most "bright" scan in the form of a square with side of 3 mm centered relative to the optic disk or the macular area is selected from the middle of the zone. Borders of outer plexiform layer (OPL), Bruch membrane (BM) and suprachoroidal space are separated. There are quantitative assessment of blood supply of investigated zones by number of yellow pixels in scanning in three layers: above OPL, below BM to suprachoroidal space and between OPL and BM.
EFFECT: method provides higher information value and reliability of assessing blood flow in various layers of the retina by applying an algorithm for quantitative interpretation of sagittal scans OST-A images obtained using OCT angiography.
