FIELD: transport machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control method and to vehicle control device with automatic driving function. Method for controlling a vehicle with an automatic driving function which is switched between manual driving, wherein the vehicle is set to move depending on the operation of the occupant of the vehicle and automatic driving. In automatic driving characteristics of driving are set automatically, and vehicle is set with possibility to automatically move on the basis of driving characteristics. Manual driving characteristics when driving by a person occupying space in a vehicle are recognized, and when switching from manual driving to automatic driving is performed, automatic driving is performed with manual driving characteristics maintained during preset time (T1) of manual maintenance of characteristics of driving.
EFFECT: increased comfort during operation.
