FIELD: control systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for controlling movement of a vehicle. Driving control method is implemented by means of driving control device in vehicle allowing switching between manual driving and automated driving. Method comprises steps of, when performing switching from automated driving to manual, switching to manual driving after changing driving characteristics for automated driving on driving characteristics during switching, suitable for switching to driving manually, and if a person adjusts and increases the distance between vehicles to the vehicle ahead in the course of automated driving, driving characteristics during switching are set so that distance between vehicles remains equal to distance between vehicles after adjustment. Distance from vehicle to surrounding object in driving characteristics at switching is set so that it is more than distance specified during automated driving.
EFFECT: higher safety of vehicle driving is achieved.
