FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and device for driving assistance. Method of assisting in motion for a driving control device in a vehicle, allowing for switching between manual driving by a driver and automated driving. Driving control device examines braking distance for stopping at intersection when driving manually by driver and applies result of studying to characteristics of movement for automated driving for case of stop at crossroads. To this end, it is determined whether there is no vehicle in front located ahead of the vehicle, and when it is determined that there is no vehicle in front, the braking distance is studied for the case of the absence of a vehicle in front located in front of the vehicle.
EFFECT: higher safety of vehicle control.
