SUBSTANCE: invention generally relates to methods and systems for controlling exhaust gas flow in an exhaust system of an engine. Provided are methods and systems for controlling movement of exhaust gases in exhaust system of engine exhaust gases. In one example, the method may include steps of, during which the first condition exists, the exhaust gas flow is passed through the turbine, from the turbine is supplied to at least one post-treatment device, and then from at least one post-treatment device into the atmosphere. In another example, the method may include steps whereat, during the second condition, the exhaust gases are passed through at least one post-treatment device, from at least one post-treatment device is supplied to the turbine and then from the turbine to the atmosphere.

EFFECT: technical result consists in mandatory flow of exhaust gases both through turbine, and through at least one post-treatment device, therefore it is not necessary to search for trade-off between quality of emissions to atmosphere and speed of reaction of turbine; reduced impact action of solid particles on turbine, which will prolong its service life.
